Setting up Apollo.io

Apollo.io enables an advanced search system to identify prospects and to guarantee leads. This quick guide will walk you through setting up and using Apollo.io within VISS.AI.

Adding Apollo.io

You can add Apollo.io into any existing or new VISS.AI workspace by clicking on + Step and selecting the app from the menu.

Connecting your Apollo.io Account

Before starting to build a step, you need to ensure that you are connected to Apollo.io. Unlike many apps, Apollo.io needs an API key from your account instead of your account credentials.

To get access to an API key:

  1. You need to have access to an Apollo.io account. You can create a free account by clicking here.

  2. Once you login, navigate your way to Settings > Integrations, Find the API option and click Connect.

  3. Click API keys to create a new API key. Then, click Create new key.

  4. Name your API Key and add a description if needed and click the option Set as master key then click Create API key.

  5. You can copy the key and paste it in the VISS.AI dialog box to connect your account.

Using Apollo.io in VISS.AI

Follow these step-by-step instructions to effectively get started on customizing prompts and run your Apollo.io workflow within VISS.AI.

  1. It’s often the best to check the parameters and actions above to understand what you can do in the app.

  2. Based on the actions, you can craft your prompt. eg: “Search for software companies in San Francisco with 50-200 employees”

  3. Ensure that the prompt includes all required parameters relevant to the action (e.g., tags, recipient information).

  4. Once the prompt is entered, click on the Build button to see the generated output. (You can always review the build and check whether it matches your intended action.

  5. When satisfied with the prompt and build, click the Run button to execute the Apollo.io step.

  • If errors occur, verify that all required parameters were included in the prompt.

  • Adjust any details in the step and re-run as needed to achieve the desired outcome.
